Summer months provide excellent lift conditions along the 900-foot ridge adjacent to the runway. A brief tow to just 1,000-feet will afford any glider hours of trade wind power. During the winter, a bubble-toped glider provides a spectacular view of thunderous north-shore surf, green mountains and even breaching pods of whales.
